This Sunriver home needed a lot more than a fresh color. The existing exterior had seen enough Central Oregon weather that the surface prep alone was a serious undertaking. Before a single drop of paint went on, we sealed everything top to bottom with lifetime caulking. That step matters more than most people realize - skip it, and moisture works its way in behind the paint and you're right back where you started within a few years.

From there, we back-rolled primer across the entire surface. Back-rolling after spraying might sound like extra work, but it's how you get primer to actually bond with the siding rather than just sitting on top of it. It creates a mechanical grip that holds the topcoat in place long-term. That's the kind of detail that separates a paint job that lasts from one that peels.

The finish coat went on by spray, which gives you even, consistent coverage across all that vertical siding and into the grooves where a brush or roller just can't reach as effectively. We also handled stain work on the wood elements - the garage fascia and ceiling got a rich dark stain treatment that ties everything together and gives the home that polished, intentional look rather than just slapped-on paint.

The color scheme really works for this setting. That warm tan on the siding sits well against the pine trees, and the deep dark trim pulls the whole thing together. The garage door stain in particular gives the front elevation a finished, high-end feel that the homeowner was thrilled with. Topped the job off with a BBQ - which is honestly the best way to wrap up a project.

If your home's exterior is overdue for real protection - not just a color refresh - this is the kind of work that actually holds up. Proper prep, quality primer, and a solid application process aren't optional if you want results that last in a climate like Sunriver's.
